Peter has a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. He provides technical assistance to help commercial orchards implement IPM and conservation practices and manages several eco labels for tree-fruit production. Peter has coordinated many projects at the IPM Institute since he joined in 2009. Most recently he began serving a two-year term on the North Central IPM Center Stakeholder Panel, a USDA-funded center which supports IPM programing in the Midwest. When the work is done for the day, he can be found regularly performing traditional string-band music for contra dances around the Midwest, teaching and coaching alpine skiing, volunteering, canoeing, camping, and mountain biking.
