IFIC points to 2022 food trends

The International Food Information Council (IFIC) has published a forecast of food trends for the upcoming year. Highlights related to sustainable agriculture include:

  1. In 2022, American’s conception of sustainability will broaden its role in their attitudes and behaviors and become more “cemented in.”
  2. 42% of consumers believe their food choices have a moderate or significant impact on the environment.
  3. 7/10 consumers say that climate change sometimes influences their purchasing decisions.
