Three quarters of the world’s food crops depend on pollinators. Wild pollinators are considered more effective than managed pollinators, such as honeybees, and are responsible for large portions of crop pollination. As wild pollinator populations decline, new research confirms that this could have a devastating effect on crops reliant on these pollinators, like blueberries, cherries and apples.
